Our Story

CalStixx was born in Sonoma County, out of two decades spent inside California wine country. We are founder-operated by three partners with backgrounds in civil, mechanical, and industrial engineering. We believe the next generation of consumer products will come from what working agriculture already produces.

Our co-founder Steve Martin, through his design-build firm, has planned and built wineries, breweries, and distilleries across California. If you have toured wine country in the last twenty years, you may have walked through one of his creations. That work put Steve on crush pads every harvest, watching valuable natural byproducts move through the supply chain as afterthoughts. Steve, along with his partners, saw the opening and built a company to close the circular economy gap. CalStixx sources these byproducts directly from California growers and moves them into markets that value them.
